What is Stretch Therapy?

Stretch therapy is a type of physical therapy that focuses on improving flexibility and reducing pain through a variety of techniques, including foam rolling, massage, and exercise.

How does it work?

Stretch therapy works by targeting tight or sore muscles, improving range of motion, and promoting circulation. By stretching and massaging specific areas of the body, stretch therapy can help reduce tension and relieve pain.

Who can benefit from Stretch Therapy?

Anyone can benefit from stretch therapy, especially those who sit for long periods of time, have limited physical activity, or have suffered an injury. It can also be helpful for athletes looking to improve their performance and flexibility.

Is Stretch Therapy painful?

Stretch therapy is not meant to be painful, but some discomfort may be felt during the stretching process, especially in areas where the muscle is tight or sore. However, the therapist will work with the client to ensure that the stretch is comfortable and within their pain tolerance

How often should one have Stretch Therapy?

The frequency of stretch therapy sessions will vary depending on the individual's needs and goals. Some people may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may only need a session every few weeks. It's best to consult with a therapist to determine the best schedule for you.

How long will I need to do Stretch Therapy to get desired results?

Immediate results are visible even post single session of Stretch Therapy, however, just like maintaining any healthy physical habit takes consistency and dedication, the same is applied in Stretch Therapy. Flexibility quite literally goes by the rule - Use it or lose it. Post achieving desired results, we recommend continuing with Stretch Therapy at least once every 10-14 days for maintenance and muscle memory.

Why do I need Stretch Therapy?

Have you ever experienced a compressed neck/back, tight hips, or stiff hamstrings? The causes can stem from a physical injury or mental/emotional stress. If left untreated, it can spiral and result in a loss of agility or flexibility, pain, and an overall decline in one’s quality of life. Stretch Therapy helps you regain the zing in your body and live a pain-free life.

What if I am carrying an injury or a pre-existing condition?

Our experienced therapists will assess your condition and advise you on how to proceed. However, it is absolutely safe to have assistive stretch therapy in other regions of your body without impacting the injured area.

When and how many times is it ideal to include it in my routine?

For an active person, once per week to maintain their current level of activity; those wanting to improve posture or increase flexibility, 2--3 sessions per week is recommended. If followed as advised, the positive effects are seen in a matter of weeks.

How long does a session last?

Each session is 60 minutes for the entire body or for a specific area needing attention.
